| Portuguese Abstract: | O objetivo geral deste trabalho é o de narrar algumas controvérsias entre a comunicação e a antropologia em torno do uso da etnografia e da Teoria Ator-Rede no campo da cibercultura. Nisso, se inclui uma problematização da aproximação dessas disciplinas a partir de alguns interesses desencontrados, os processos de convencimento do uso da etnografia em espaços –on-line, a crítica inicial à proposição da etnografia como método e uma revisão do conceito de rede utilizado em ambas as disciplinas. Em muito, isso celebra uma década e meia do Grupo de Pesquisas em Ciberantropologia (GrupCiber), do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Antropologia Social da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, e, assim, de alguma forma, configura-se como um momento de autocrítica e de aceno para novos rumos do grupo. |
| Abstract: | The main goal of this paper is to describe some controversy between the communication and anthropology around the use of ethnography and Actor-Network Theory (ANT) in the field of cyberculture. Besides, it includes a problematization of these courses approximation from some incompatible interests, the processes of convincing the use of ethnography in online spaces, the initial critique of the ethnography proposition as a method, and a review of the network concept used in both courses. Likewise, it celebrates a decade and a half of the Research Group in Cyberanthropology (GrupCiber) from the graduate program in Social Anthropology at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), and thus somehow appears as a moment of self-criticism and signal to new directions for the group. |
