Religiões afro-brasileiras: em um debate a partir da Base Nacional Comum Curricular

Abstract

In this article, we present a bibliographic approach about the african-Brazilian religions in the regions of Brazil and especially in the Brazilian states. Every moment arise religious expressions that tend to influence people changing thus their way of thinking and acting in the world. Within these varieties of religions, we see the african-Brazilian, who in a not so distant past have suffered persecution in their rituals as well as their supporters. Today it seems that not much has changed, because despite their celebrations are not prohibited as before, we see that bias and concealment in our classrooms where students have access to Christian religions, but other religious denominations and of African origin little or nothing to speak, being restricted only as a matter of 20 November, which is celebrated the day of Black Consciousness; not to mention their own textbooks when they present the issue comes down on a page or half of it. In this paper we present an approach about the african-Brazilian religions in Religious Education discipline that has been addressed in the document Curriculum Common National Base (BNCC) of the Ministry of Education, and also sketch a reflection on the Law 10 639/03, mandating the teaching of history and african-Brazilian and African culture in all schools, public and private, elementary school through high school. This obligation is not restricted only to the discipline of history and yes, the religious education, but also treat the whole context and existing religious rituals in the culture of African origin.
