| Portuguese Abstract: | In this paper, we propose a new lifetime distribution, namely the extended Burr XII distribution (using the technique as mentioned in Cordeiro et al. (2015)). We derive some basic properties of the new distribution and provide a Monte Carlo simulation study to evaluate the maximum likelihood estimates of model parameters. For illustrative purposes, two real life data sets have been considered as an application of the proposed model. |
