Among these actions, activities to promote adequate and healthy eating and obesity prevention stand out, in addition to anthropometric and nutritional assessments, which are coordinated by the Food and Nutrition Center (NAN), in the municipality of Natal. To facilitate and optimize the work of the health teams responsible for PSE activities in the city of Natal, this work aimed to develop a practical guide to guide health professionals in relation to food and nutrition activities. The guide is based on publications from the Food and Nutrition Surveillance System (SISVAN) of the Ministry of Health, and helps to promote the main guidelines of the National Food and Nutrition Policy (PNAN). In addition to the practical guide, a spreadsheet for collecting anthropometric data from public school students was developed, with the aim of enhancing nutritional monitoring and improving the management of PSE activities in the municipality. A database was also created with essential materials and documents for guiding and carrying out food and nutrition activities at school and for all age groups. All these materials will be made available through the drive of the School Health Program of the Food and Nutrition Center of the Primary Care Department of the Natal Municipal Health Department (NAN/SMS/NATAL).
