The experience took place in a public school in São Bento - PB. It was observed that the main difficulties existing in the understanding of quadratic equations are related to the rules and abstractions inserted this content, besides the lack of this connection between this subject in the classroom and their use out of it. It was also noted that many of the difficulties of learning is linked to the methodology described by the teacher. To achieve the study objectives, it elaborated an activity pack with different methodologies, which was developed with a group of 9th grade of that school. Data collection was through the analysis of activities, and a questionnaire carried out with 26 students.
