Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Engenharia Elétrica) - Departamento de Engenharia Elétrica, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2025.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/61888This work addresses voltage stability in power systems, highlighting the use of the continuation power flow method as the main analysis tool. This method enables a detailed assessment of the system's response to progressive load increments, identifying stability limits and critical conditions that may lead to voltage collapse. The research integrates scenarios of high penetration of renewable sources, such as wind farms, evaluating challenges related to reactive power variation and maintaining adequate voltage profiles. Through simulations applied to a standard IEEE 14-bus system, mitigation strategies such as reactive compensators and voltage regulation devices are analyzed. The results demonstrate the method's effectiveness in predicting and preventing instabilities, contributing to the planning and operation of modern and sustainable power grids.
