Thus, it was proposed to analyze the training of managers in the SUS in the area of management of basic health units, taking into account whether this factor is decisive for the improvement of the administration of these health units? In order for the objective to be achieved, the narrative review method was defined, considering the time period between 2000 and 2020. The selected database was Scielo (Scientific Electronic Library Online).
