With the economic growth of the neighborhood from the 80's (construction of the street vendors place) and with the increase of the vehicular demand in the central region of the Alecrim neighborhood (surroundings of the street vendors place), the disputes for space between pedestrians and drivers intensified. The volume of drivers and pedestrians who travel in central streets of the neighborhood grew in demand beyond the capacity of a secure support of the roads for all who use them. As a result of this problem, the present work had the objective of analyzing the traffic of vehicles on the subway routes and, in addition, analyzing the capacity of these routes. Car traffic flow analyzes were carried out at Presidente Bandeira Avenue (street vendeors place) using the counting method. The visits and counts were carried out on the days of the bigger demanding road, and these were defined based on an informal research with the merchants, drivers and pedestrians in the neighborhood, being Fridays and Saturdays the days of bigger demanding road. During the months of April and May, at different times of the days defined, the service levels of the route were calculated.
