The objective of this study was to investigate the correlation between kinesiophobia, pain intensity, performance in functional tests and the frequency and duration of physical activity in people in the chronic phase of chikungunya. This is an observational, cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach. The sample consisted of 74 individuals between 18 and 75 years old, of both sexes. For data collection, a sociodemographic and health questionnaire, the Tampa Scale for Kinesiophobia and the Numerical Pain Rating Scale (NPS) were used. The functional tests applied included: 30-second sit-to-stand test, Time up and go (TUG), climbing up and down 8 steps and brisk walking of 40 meters. Normality was analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk test, and due to the absence of normality, the Spearman correlation test was used, with a significance level of 5%. Kinesiophobia showed a moderate correlation with performance in the TUG and the 40-meter walk test. The test of going up and down 8 steps revealed a weak but significant correlation. Therefore, as the score on the kinesiophobia scale increases, performance in functional tests tends to worsen. However, no significant correlation was observed between kinesiophobia and frequency or time of physical activity, suggesting that this condition may not be a limiting factor for exercise.Attribution 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/br/febre chikungunyachikungunya fevermovimentomedodor crônicaaptidão físicamovementfearchronic painphysical fitnessCorrelação entre cinesiofobia, intensidade da dor, desempenho em testes funcionais e atividade física em pessoas na fase crônica da Chikungunya: um estudo transversalCorrelation between kinesiophobia, pain intensity, performance in functional tests and physical activity in people in the chronic phase of Chikungunya: a cross-sectional studybachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE
