The general objective of this research was to analyze the contributions of the Music at School Project to the consolidation of music teaching at the Yayá Paiva Municipal School in Nísia Floresta/RN, emphasizing the benefits that practices based on Project Pedagogy can offer to the current reality of education of music in school context. Authors who address this teaching methodology were sought, such as Nogueira (2001), Moura (2010) and Fernandes (2016), in order to conduct a dialogue with the literature dealing with the topic in question. Data production was carried out through the application of two questionnaires designed for two distinct groups: students and teaching staff, covering representatives of the entire school community, in order to understand the Music at School Project and its relevance as a whole, investigating how these activities contribute to student learning and education. In the results obtained, it was observed a considerable participation and acceptance of the project by the school community, which has contributed to a full formation of the subject.
