As a method of research, we assumed dialectical historical materialism, which guided us to the following question: How do happen the political-pedagogical relations between principals and counselors? As an empirical basis, to answer this question, the Board and the School Council were analyzed, two maximum and deliberative organs of the studied school, dialoguing with the theories of Freire (2011); Fanon (1968); Fernandes (1995); Aristotle (2000); Marx and Engels (2000). The research showed that these relationships are based on the colonizing logic of the popular saying, serving as an osbstacle to allow the collective to be self-educated at the moment of decision making.
