In a descriptive and reflective movement on the recognition of affective and epistemological narratives, awakened through the contact rooted with Afro diasporic dances. Faced with the experience of reconnecting with my ancestrality and working with the body in theater training, I begin to explore the energetic power of dance and its pre-expressive role in the scene, as a physical trainer in theatre. This article discusses educational art practices, centered on Afro-Brazilian references and on practices constituted through Afrobeats as a pedagogy of the body in theater.
