Análise de payback de um sistema fotovoltaico on-grid em residência unifamiliar em Natal - RN. 2022. 57f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Engenharia Ambiental) - Centro de Tecnologia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2022.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/48572The search for sustainable energy consumption from renewable sources has been growing as long as environmental crises intensify and electricity consumption raises over time. Electricity consumption intensifies while the economic growth, new energy-based technologies and the population in Brazil expand. In front with this crisis scenario, more energy resources are needed to meet demand at all times of the year. In this sense, solar energy is an excellent alternative of clean energy, without rustle, with almost no pollution and inexhaustible, with a variety of materials capable of adapting to several projects. The northeastern territory of Brasil, especially the state of Rio Grande do Norte (RN), shows great potential for the generation of photovoltaic-solar energy, with one of the highest generation levels in the world. The objective of this work is to analyze the return on investment of a photovoltaic energy system connected to the grid, implemented in a single-family residence in the city of Natal/RN, based on Cash Flow and Payback techniques. This work includes the collection of data from the photovoltaic-energy system in operation in the period of 1 (one) year. From this sample, an estimate is measured according to future energy generations and calculation bases aiming at the inflationary tendency of the price of electric energy over the years. The calculations shows that the investment recovery occurs in a satisfactory period, considering the solar panels lifetimes and the time of positive cash flow over this lifetime. In the first four months of the sixth year of installation, all the investment is already recovered. Therefore, the investment proves to be economically viable. Considering the price history, it proves that the costs for installing the project are currently more affordable. However, even if financed, such costs are an obstacle for a considerable part of the population. Then, the need arises to research and develop a technology that can have high scalability, low manufacturing cost, preferably national, able to meet all social realities and proves to be effective for a true popularization of photovoltaic energy.Attribution 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/br/Energia fotovoltaicaGeração de energia elétricaFontes de energias renováveisSistemas fotovoltaicos conectados à redeViabilidade econômico-financeiraPhotovoltaic energyElectric power generationRenewable energy sourcesPhotovoltaic systems connected to the gridEconomic-financial viabilityAnálise de payback de um sistema fotovoltaico on-grid em residência unifamiliar em Natal - RNbachelorThesis
