Indicador de saúde pública: uma sequência didática baseada no ciclo sono-vigília para o ensino fundamental II. Orientador: Dra. Fernanda Marur Mazzé. 2023. 112f. Dissertação (Mestrado Profissional em Ensino de Ciências Naturais e Matemática) - Centro de Ciências Exatas e da Terra, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2023.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/55573Teachers of the 21st century, in addition to teaching, have daily demands and challenges in the school environment, among these, little reflected in their context, is the rhythmicity of the sleep-wake cycle, which can be a great ally in our pedagogical practices in the acquisition of knowledge and well-being of students, or becomes a significant obstacle during the learning process in the classroom. In this sense, the research is inserted in a school context of elementary education, 7th grade class, focused on the study of chronobiology (part of biology that studies the temporal dimension of living matter, that is, biological rhythms), which is based on a cycle circadian rhythm with the sleep-wake cycle, a rhythm that may significantly interfere with cognitive performance, compromising student learning and health. In this context, the theme arises: Public health indicator: a didactic sequence based on the sleep-wake cycle for elementary school II, which emerges from a set of empirical observations in the classroom, among which are the use of screens by students from exacerbated during the night, which may lead to damage to health and learning. Among the possible harms of this sleep deprivation are: irritability, punctual disinterest, hormonal irregularity, attention deficit, difficulty in memorizing that interferes with learning. Therefore, the need for reflective discussions on the subject in the school context. Thus, the objective of our work was to analyze the sleep hygiene of 7th grade students, through a didactic sequence, focused on the biological rhythm, specifically the sleep-wake cycle, associated as an indicator of public health. The present study is a qualitative and participative research with students in the classroom. In this way, the methodological approach was developed from the application of the Didactic Sequence - SD, guided by the Three Pedagogical Moments - TMPs. At first, a questionnaire with closed and open questions and a sleep diary (one week) were applied as a tool for collecting prior information. The data were studied and treated through Bardin's content analysis.
