To achieve the objectives, we conducted a bibliographic and documentary survey using qualitative methodology in the light of the historical-dialectical materialist method. We also conducted individual interviews with six women shellfish harvesters from the RDSEPT fishing communities. The studies and research revealed the difficulties faced by shellfish, such as informality of work, precariousness of working conditions and invisibility and lack of access to public policies directed to this category. We also show how patriarchy, capitalism and racism structure these inequalities.
