Natal, 2019.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/39427The present study investigates the Pre-Competitive Child and Youth Stress Symptoms List, elaborated by Rose Junior (1998), in student-athletes of the Jogos Escolares do Rio Grande do Norte (JERNs) in the youth soccer modality of the Escola Estadual Tristão de Barros (EETB), from the city of Currais Novos, in the interior of Rio Grande do Norte. The research objective was to identify the most evident symptoms, relate them with the school daily and teenage traits and propose to those responsible for the young people a sharper view in the psychological aspects of individuals in the school competitions context. Methodologically, it is a case study that adopted a questionnaire as data collection. Precisely 24 questionnaires were answered, detecting a moderate stress index of the student-athletes.
