Methods; Ecological study of temporal series, based in secondary data. It was considered as the outcome variable the mortality rate by cervical câncer in women in the age bracket between 40 to 65 years old occurred during the period of 2015 to 2019 in Rio Grande do Norte by place of residence. A multivariated analysis was carried out with the Skater’s technique. Result: In the quinquennium of the analysis recorded many deaths by cervical câncer in the mentioned age bracket, that succeeded in the inhabitants of this state, they were equivalente to 9,9 deaths per 100 thousand inhabitants. The study resulted in the formation of 5 clusters, wich cluster C5 presented the highest rate of mortality, even tough the cities of this cluster have better rates in the offer of physicians and cytopathological examination. However, it’s the cluster with the lowest HDI, wich gives to this cluster a low level of development. Conclusion: the existing amount of physicians and cytopathological examination measured didn’t influenced in the result of this indicator. However, the low HDI, the unfavorable socialeconomical conditions, the advanced age and the hard access to prevention, control and treatment may explain the rates observed.Mortalidade.
