A dança como linguagem ativa para o desenvolvimento da criança na educação infantil. 2025. 28 f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Pedagogia) - Centro de Educação, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2025.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/64751The aim of this work is to understand the role of dance in the integral development of children in Early Childhood Education, with an emphasis on the motor, cognitive and socio-emotional aspects. The research was carried out through documentary analysis and bibliographic review, using academic productions in the areas of Pedagogy and Dance. Authors such as Wagner (2023), Albuquerque (2024), Araújo (2025) and Drago and Rossi (2022) were used. The results show that dance is a language that contributes to the development of motor coordination, body awareness, creativity, socialization and emotional expression in children. However, its implementation in pedagogical practices still faces challenges such as lack of teacher training, scarcity of resources and institutional resistance. In addition, many educators are still unaware of the real importance of dance in the educational process and see it only as a technical and choreographed practice, disregarding its expressive and formative potential and having a limited view of this art. The conclusion is that valuing dance as an expressive language and educational resource is essential for promoting a more playful, inclusive and stimulating school environment for children's full development.pt-BRAttribution 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/br/DançaDanceDesenvolvimento infantilChild developmentEducação infantilEarly childhood educationMovimentoMovementA dança como linguagem ativa para o desenvolvimento da criança na educação infantilDance as active language for child development in early chilhood educationbachelorThesisCIENCIAS HUMANAS::EDUCACAO
