The research seeks to understand how the DPIR contributes to the prevention and mitigation of risks associated with the misuse of data, identifying challenges, gaps and good practices in its implementation. To this end, a descriptive methodology is adopted, with bibliographic analysis, practical case studies and evaluation of criteria such as Privacy by Design (PbD), which integrates data protection from the design of systems and processes.
