From the implementation of the actions, the aim was to learn about the perceptions of students and teachers about food and nutrition, through the application of questionnaires, and to elucidate positive points and challenges surrounding this educational practice. Four Food and Nutrition Education actions were planned and carried out, the first three addressing food and nutrition themes present on the back covers of textbooks and the last one a culmination for closing and socializing the acquired knowledge. The themes were chosen by the students and included the following: “Modern times require health care”, “Take good care of water” and “Expectations vs. Reality”. As a result of the experiences and data obtained from the questionnaires, the strengths and challenges of implementing Food and Nutrition Education in schools were listed. On the positive side, a change in students' perspectives regarding food and nutrition was observed before and after the actions. Challenges such as low student participation in activities and the difficulty of integrating teachers into the process were listed. In addition, the obstacles to consolidating FNE as part of the school curriculum were emphasized.
