Although is not more important economic among the cucurbits species, is relevant complement of family income and for the maintenance of family units in rural zones, as verified in the municipality of Macaíba-RN. For the obtain knowledge about the local reality of germination and conservation of C. aguria germplasm, expeditions were made to the rural properties in to last three month 2017. The sites were chosen through information obtained from the Secretariat of Agriculture, local office of the Company of Asssitência Técnica e Extensão Rural-EMATER and the free fair of the municipal. Information and data was obtained of exploratory research made the application of mixed questionnaires, with qualitative and quantitative questions.
