Therefore, it is essential that information is delivered in a clear, accessible, and understandable manner. In the context of poliomyelitis vaccination, health communication serves as a driving force for the development of strategies that favor immunization, as well as promoting greater adherence to the actions and services of the Unified Health System (SUS), which directly impact public health. Thus, our study aims to identify and analyze how journalistic news about poliomyelitis vaccination is disseminated by Agência Brasil. To this end, we examined 32 news articles published on the portal between January 1 and December 1, 2024. The news was synthesized and classified into "Low, Medium, or High Quality." Based on this, the articles were analyzed according to six thematic axes: 1. Definition of poliomyelitis; 2. Epidemiological data; 3. Prevention; 4. Signs and symptoms; 5. Diagnosis; and 6. Vaccination schedule/target audience. The main results indicate that most of the analyzed articles are of "Medium Quality," followed by "Low Quality," and a smaller portion categorized as "High Quality." Therefore, strengthening public communication and health journalism is necessary to ensure the quality and accessibility of information relevant to both individual and collective health.pt-BRComunicação em saúdeJornalismo científicoVacinaçãoPoliomieliteComunicação em saúde: análise de notícias a respeito da vacinação contra a poliomieliteHealth communication: analysis of news about polio vaccinationbachelorThesisCIENCIAS HUMANASCIENCIAS DA SAUDE
