This work aims to analyze the potential of the municipality of Currais Novos / RN in relation to the Adventure Tourism segment. The research is based on a study with local actors linked to tourism in the form of interviews to understand the dynam-ics of local tourism. It was verified that although the municipality possesses a range of natural attractions in potential for the practice of adventure activities what is per-ceived is that currently the adventure segment is not worked in the locality.
