A intervenção centrada na família produz efeito no desenvolvimento da linguagem de crianças com deficiência auditiva? : revisão sistemática. 2019. 59f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Fonoaudiologia) – Departamento de Fonoaudiologia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2019.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/36009Introduction: In the literature, the participation of the family in the auditory qualification helps to stimulate the linguistic development of children with hearing impairment, since it occupies a better position to facilitate communication in daily life. Nevertheless, it is necessary to seek scientific evidence on whether family-centered intervention has an effect on the development of the language of these infants. Aim: The objective of this systematic review was, therefore, to evaluate whether family-centered intervention has an effect on the language development of children with hearing impairment. Method: Through a systematic review, conducted in July 2019, the search was conducted in 6 databases (PubMed, LILACS, Web of Science, Scopus, Cochrane, PsycINFO) and in the gray base (Open Gray, Google Scholar), without language restriction and year. For the eligibility criterion, studies were selected that had a control group and/or compared the pre and post tests of interventions centered on parents to improve communication and language development in children with hearing impairment. In the selection and analysis of the data, two independent reviewers (1R and 2R) worked. The research was done in two phases. In phase one, the two reviewers individually read titles and abstracts of the collected references, electing studies that fit the inclusion criterion. Subsequently, the same two reviewers in the second phase performed the full reading of the publications selected in phase one for final selection. Due to the heterogeneity of the data, the qualitative evaluation of the studies was conducted. Results: Nine studies were selected in phase one and phase two, five articles were identified for data analysis. The studies among themselves varied regarding the model of family-centered interventions. The therapies found in the researches were: Muenster Parental Program (MPP), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), videofeedback-guided intervention and Early Intervention Program. In all of them the results regarding family-child interaction and communication were beneficial, with language measurements or inventories to families indicating improvement in the language of the child. Conclusion: The five studies chosen for final selection reported that the intervention focused on families, regardless of their model, enhances the linguistic development of children with hearing impairment, however studies with a higher level of evidence and methodological design are still needed in order to ensure the recommendations based on scientific evidence for an ideal model of intervention focused on the family of children with hearing impairment. Therefore, the present study guides future research on this theme and contributes to the performance of professionals with the families of children with hearing impairment. : revisão sistemáticaDoes family-centered intervention have an effect on the language development of children with hearing impairment? : systematic review.bachelorThesis4.00.00.00-1 Ciências da Saúde 4.07.00.00-3 Fonoaudiologia
