The research was conducted using a semi-structured questionnaire, which allowed the identification of the main perceptions and needs of residents concerning this economic activity. Among the respondents, it was found that 52.5% work dir The results highlight that, although adventure tourism brings certain benefits, such as income generation and the enhancement of the locality, most residents are dissatisfied with how this activity has been managed in the community. The most frequently mentioned issues include waste accumulation, disturbance of peace due to visitor behavior, speeding and heavy traffic on local roads, dust production, and the contamination of nearby lagoons. Moreover, many pointed out that tourists usually spend very little time in the community. The main problems reported were vehicle speeding, noise caused by cars, and the overall disturbance of the community’s tranquility. Regarding mitigation measures, the most recommended solutions were improving waste collection, increasing environmental enforcement, and promoting environmental awareness. As a way to address these problems, residents suggested the construction of a tourist complex that could better organize and attract visitors, improvements in the community’s infrastructure, such as better roads and basic sanitation, as well as environmental education for tourists and guides. The study concluded that 58% of the residents support adventure tourism in the community, while 42% do not, due to the problems it generates.
