In the state of Rio Grande do Norte, there is a high demand for this type of component due to activities such as shrimp farming and nautical industry. In this context, this study aims to manufacture and apply bushings composed of PTFE + tailings of Scheelite, investigating the tribological behavior of this material when subjected to severe test conditions (high PV pair). Then, bushings made of this composite were manufactured by hot compaction and will be tested in a test rig with shaft rotational speed and load control. During the tests, the signals of vibration, temperature and sound pressure level were recorded. In addition, the dimensional variation of the bushing and its mass loss were evaluated in order to determine the wear rate of the specimen during the test and the payback time of the product.
