Port and urban systems have been studied as dissociated entities, thus demonstrating the need for instruments for evaluating socioeconomic performance indicators considering the port-city relationship. Therefore, the objective of this research is to structure a framework to guide the evaluation of socioeconomic performance in the implementation phase of a port-industry, with a view to supporting decision-making in managing performance and impacts on the local community. This tool can be applied by port authorities and companies operating in the port or even for future port facility projects, as a tool for monitoring and adapting socioeconomic management. Information was collected from case studies and the dimensions were systematized. Indicators and aspects of some social, economic, governance, spatial, general and sector-specific performance instruments were also considered.
