It highlights the importance of self-publishing platforms, with a focus on Wattpad, especially the need to have good usability to achieve their objectives. Its general objective is to analyze the Usability and Information Architecture of Wattpad to identify aspects for improvement in the access and use of information available to its users. The methodology adopts applied research of an exploratory and descriptive nature, using bibliographic technical procedures and a qualitative approach. It analyzes the Wattpad platform by applying the 108 usability features for websites developed by Nascimento and Amaral (2010), noting how many criteria are classified as "not applicable" (N/A), "yes," "no," or "page with a problem." The study questions whether the Wattpad self-publishing platform meets Usability and Information Architecture criteria. The results, based on usability features for websites features, show that 12% of the responses are classified as not applicable, 52% as applicable, and 36% of the responses do not exist on the platform, with no pages presenting problems. Despite the ease of navigating between pages on the platform, Wattpad needs some improvements in its structure, such as optimizing its tagging and content system and enabling greater interactions among users through a dynamic and engaging feed.
