Prevalência e fatores associados à Síndrome de Burnout em profissionais de enfermagem de uma unidade de terapia intensiva de um hospital geral na cidade de Caicó/RN. 2020. 61f. Dissertação (Mestrado Profissional em Educação, Trabalho e Inovação em Medicina) - Escola Multicampi de Ciências Médicas do Rio Grande do Norte, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2020.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/32180Burnout Syndrome (SB) is defined as a psychological syndrome resulting from chronic stress at work. BS is characterized by Emotional Wear (DE), Depersonalization (DP) and reduced Personal Achievement (PR) with negative consequences at the individual, professional, family and social levels. The aim of this study was to verify the prevalence of Burnout syndrome in Nursing professionals working at the ICU / HRTFF - Caicó / RN, as well as to investigate associations with demographic, occupational, psychosocial and health variables, characterizing the sociodemographic profile of the professionals. The evaluated population was composed of nursing professionals (technicians and nurses) who developed their activities in the ICU. This was a crosssectional, observational and descriptive epidemiological study with a quantitative approach. Two instruments were used for data collection, both self-applicable: Maslach's Burnout Inventory (MBI) and a questionnaire prepared by the researcher. The means / medians of the outcome scores and dimensions were compared between the independent variables (Test T for independent samples). A p value <0.05 was adopted, with a significance level of 5% and a confidence interval of 95%. Among the main results, on average, according to the MBI, with regard to the analysis of its dimensions, there was an average EE (20.00 points), average PR (39.00 points) and an average SD (03, 00 points), with the sum total of the dimensions totaling 61.50 points. According to the criteria for the diagnosis of Burnout, 03 professionals were affected by the disease and 29 professionals were not affected. The Burnout mean / median was significantly higher in professionals who had higher education or more (pvalue: 0.018) and who do not use medications frequently (p-value: 0.006). It was observed that 03 nursing professionals were affected by the disease, demonstrating that one must pay attention to the factors that may be causing the stress and seek ways to minimize them.
