Relação entre as regulações motivacionais com níveis de atividade física espontânea e comportamento sedentário: um estudo transversal. 2021. 48f. Dissertação (Mestrado em Educação Física) - Centro de Ciências da Saúde, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2021.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/44845INTRODUCTION: Current evidence suggests that physical activity and sedentary behavior can be influenced by different motivational regulations, thus understanding the types of motivations that intervene in these behaviors is crucial. OBJECTIVE: Based on the theory of self-determination, the aim of the study was to verify the associations between the motivational regulations with the levels of spontaneous physical activity and sedentary behavior in physically active and inactive adults who do not participate in physical training programs. METHODS: Cross-sectional study carried out with one hundred and sixty-four participants (58,5% women; age: median = 31,50, percentiles 25–75 = 26,25–40,0 years; BMI: median = 25,35, percentiles 25–75 = 22,65–29,07 kg/m²). Levels of physical activity and sedentary behavior were measured by accelerometry. The motivational regulations (amotivation, intrinsic, external, introjected, identified and self-determination index) were verified by the BREQ-2 questionnaire. The sample was divided into two groups, a physically active group (n = 63) and a physically inactive group (n = 101). RESULTS: In the physically active group there was a negative association between amotivation with SB (β = -0,63, p = 0,000) and MVPA (β = -8,36, p = 0,000). Positive association between introjected regulation and MVPA (β = 7,59, p = 0,000). Positive association between intrinsic motivation and LPA (β = 12,95, p = 0,015). Positive association between self-determination index with SB (β = 0,07, p = 0,006) and MVPA (β = 0,98, p = 0,000). In the physically inactive group there was no association between the motivational regulations with PA and SB. CONCLUSION: Our findings identified that in the physically active group there was a negative association between amotivation with SB and MVPA. A positive association between introjected regulation and MVPA. There was also a positive association between intrinsic regulation and LPA. In addition to a positive association between self-determination index with SB and MVPA. In the physically inactive group there was no association between the motivational regulations with PA and SB.Acesso AbertoExercício físico - motivaçãoPrazerAtividade físicaSedentarismoRelação entre as regulações motivacionais com níveis de atividade física espontânea e comportamento sedentário: um estudo transversalRelationship between motivational regulations whit levels of spontaneous physical activity and sedentary behavior: a cross-cutting studymasterThesis
