Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Engenharia Têxtil) - Departamento de Engenharia Têxtil, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2024.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/59999This work presents an investigation into the dyeing behavior of polyester and cotton fiber blends using disperse and reactive dyes. The study included spectrophotometric measurements, such as reflectance and absorbance (K/S) analyses, to evaluate the interaction between dyes and fibers and the uniformity of the obtained colors. Calibration curves were essential for quantifying color intensity and validating dyeing methods. The results indicated that polyester showed greater affinity for disperse dyes, especially at elevated temperatures, while cotton demonstrated more effective absorption with reactive dyes. Additionally, the polyester/cotton blend samples presented challenges in achieving uniform coloration, reflecting the complexity of dyeing mixed fibers. Wash and rub fastness tests showed that polyester samples retained color more effectively than cotton samples, while mixed samples showed variable results. This study contributes to the improvement of dyeing processes in the textile industry, providing valuable data for producing high-quality fabrics with uniform colors and adequate resistance. The practical application of these results could lead to more efficient processes and better-performing products in the market.Tingimento têxtilReflectânciaTestes de solidezPoliésterAlgodãoAnálise de reflectância de meia malha de misturas de fibras de poliéster e algodãoReflectance analysis of polyester-cotton fiber blended stockingsbachelorThesisCNPQ::ENGENHARIAS
