Polimorfismo dos 14 pares de bases do HLA-G em mulheres diagnosticadas com infertilidade. Orientador: Eryvaldo Sócrates Tabosa do Egito; Ricardo Ney Oliveira Cobucci. 2024. 18f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Farmácia) - Departamento de Farmácia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2024.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/61484The human leukocyte antigen G (HLA-G) plays a crucial role in modulating the maternal-fetal immune response, and the 14 base pair polymorphism is a genetic variation that can impact the stability of messenger RNA and the expression of this molecule. This cross-sectional study investigated the prevalence of this polymorphism in 44 women diagnosed with infertility due to different causes and participating in an in vitro fertilization program. Blood samples were collected, and the extracted DNA was analyzed by polymerase chain reaction with sequence-specific primers (PCR-SSP) to identify the associated genotypes. Sociodemographic data and causes of infertility were correlated with the genetic results. Most of the participants were between 36 and 40 years old and self-declared brown. The DI genotype was the most prevalent, associated with various causes of infertility, such as endometriosis and polycystic ovary syndrome. Genotype II, although less frequent, proved to be relevant in specific conditions, highlighting its possible influence on the pathophysiology of these pathologies. The findings reinforce the hypothesis that the 14 base pair polymorphisms of HLA-G can impact immune tolerance and RNA stability, influencing female reproductive capacity. Studies with larger samples and more robust methodologies are needed to validate these findings and deepen the understanding of the role of HLA-G in infertilityFIVHLA-GPolimorfismo dos 14 pares de bases do HLA-G em mulheres diagnosticadas com infertilidadePolymorphism of the 14 base pairs of HLA-G in women diagnosed with infertilitybachelorThesis
