Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Comunicação Social - Audiovisual) - Departamento de Comunicação Social, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2023.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/53272The research work entitled The three-faced man: color as a narrative resource in Better Call Saul intends to analyze the trajectory of the character Saul Goodman, from his appearance to his end. The character played by the actor Bob Odenkirk is part of the Breaking Bad series (2008-2013) and later won a spin-off, Better Call Saul (2015-2022), in which he appears as the protagonist. Colors are fundamental to its diegesis, present in clothes, scenery, and other elements. This academic work aims to analyze the narrative process that color exerts in the series. The method used is a film analysis, proposed by Francis Vanoye and Anne Goliot-Lété (2012), making a process of deconstruction and reconstruction during the analysis process with the contribution of Larissa Azubel's (2017) methodological proposal, using film analysis in the context of the serial narrative. Thus, it is necessary to use the decoupage of the episodes to map the situations in which the color is an element further the aesthetic and becomes a fundamental element of the narrative. In order to achieve the proposed objective, the theoretical background of the theory of colors is presented in the work of the authors: Eva Heller (2013), Farina (2006), Luciana Silveira (2015), and Israel Pedrosa (2009).Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/narrativa seriada; personagem; cores.serial narrative; character; colors.O homem de três faces: a cor como recurso narrativo em Better Call SaulThe three-faced man: color as a narrative resource in Better Call SaulbachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS SOCIAIS APLICADAS::COMUNICACAO
