First, currently used criteria by Wind Energy companies for Selecting Suppliers of goods and services were identified. Second, the profiles that encompass the Supply Chain relationships (cooperation, coordination and collaboration) were selected. Third, a protocol supporting the decisionmaking process of managers for selecting suppliers aimed to build collaborative relationships in the Supply Chain of the Wind Energy Sector was presented. Applied, quantitative, exploratory and descriptive research methods were used. Furthermore, a bibliographic research, an online questionnaire survey and the quantitative modeling were used as technical procedures. This research was carried out in Wind Energy companies that own wind farms in three Brazilian states (Rio Grande do Norte, Bahia and Ceará) that have the highest installed wind energy capacity, as well as the highest number of wind farms either being tested or effectively used. Twelve managers who are directly responsible for selecting the suppliers of goods and services for 10 companies participated in it. For this research the criteria were identified, the profiles were selected, and the model was built and validated. A criteria framework for supplier selection consisting of 9 general criteria and 6 specific criteria of the collaborative relationship subproblem or soft factors was developed. It was observed that there is a difference between the profiles of the Supply Chain relationships with respect to the intensity which companies display characteristics (compromise or commitment, communication, trust, consistent organizational culture, integration, interdependence and transparency) and behavior (information sharing, technology sharing, common goals, joint implementation, joint planning, long-term relationships, joint decision making, and work groups), varying from decrease in cooperation to increase in collaboration. A Multi-criteria Decision-Making Model enables the classification of suppliers in terms of cooperation, coordination or collaboration according to the their performance through the criteria selected in a systemic and organized way.
