Thus, an intervention was proposed through permanent education activities to raise awareness for the importance of reporting. The objective of this study is to report an experience about this intervention that was carried out through training on the importance of mandatory notification of diseases and illnesses. Thus, an intervention was proposed through permanent education activities to raise awareness for the importance of reporting. The objective of this study is to make an experience report about this intervention that was carried out through a training program about the importance of mandatory notification with the 17 teams of the Family Health Strategy. The training workshops were held in the basic health units of the town, divided in two stages, one theoretical and one hands-on. The training workshops were generally very powerful for the exchange of knowledge between residents and staff of the basic health units. Permanent Health Education proved to be a relevant tool for the qualification and improvement of the work process among the health professionals involved.
