Faced with this reality, which is identified there are differences in the choice of higher education and consequently the profession in relation to gender, in which the boys prefer to choose professions of exact sciences or technology and the girl’s professions in the health and biological sciences. Based on this scenario this research aims to identify and analyze the influence of factors as decisive in female choice in Engineering courses. The research methodology is characterized predominantly as a case study, using the Survey method with questionnaires in 2015 for a quantitative and qualitative analysis to the students of higher education at UFRN and next to the high school students from four public institutions in the city from Christmas. Using descriptive statistics and Logit Binomial Model to determine the factors influencing the choice of girls in higher education, it is perceived strong influence of the psychological aspect, economic, social and institutional.
