Inserted in this context, the generation of wind energy in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, especially in the Mato Grande region, is inserted in the wind-electric production on a national scale, acquiring new space, not supplying energy and not emerging new forms of appropriation and use of the territory. Based on this, the present research aims to analyze the relationship between two territorial uses originating from the wind sector with the social vulnerability present in the Mato Grande do RN region. In general, the methodological paths provided characterize this research as qualitativequantitative in nature, with operational procedures grouped in three aspects: bibliographic research, documentary research and field study (YIN, 2016; GIL, 2008). Among the results obtained, we can emphasize the little wind interference in essential social assets, especially income and labor, as well as the limitation in the compensatory actions of the companies, causing a reduced social impact in the communities.
