Disorganized urban growth, increased pollution and physical and mental illness from urban chaos make these green spaces a real oasis; with the potential to provide countless benefits to citizens. In the case of Parque Boca da Mata, in Ceará-Mirim / RN, this potential has not been fully exploited. The site has an area of about 69 hectares legally protected, which embraces an area of remnants of the Atlantic Forest, an important Brazilian biome. Despite being an area, in theory, destined to the population for the exercise of science, culture and leisure, the place lacks any infrastructure that supports its use, in addition to areas in a process of continuous degradation. This work comes to study the area, through bibliographic readings, interviews and on-site visits, and to point out solutions that insert the place in the daily life of Ceará-Mirinenses, in order to present a proposal for a visitable area within Parque Boca da Mata, respecting its surroundings, considering the needs of citizens and considering ideals for environmental recovery and democratization of their spaces. The specific objectives are: [1] Pay attention to the possible design alternatives and appropriate to the case studied, considering the different types of park and their impacts; [2] Consider the urban, socioeconomic and natural contexts of Parque Boca da Mata in order to outline the best intervention paths.
