To be able to measure the quality of different types of tests is today an important challenge to be met. The research conducted in this study considered the evaluation of the effectiveness of systems tests performed by MOPA Embedded Systems in the use of Ginga middleware for Digital TV. To perform the system test suite evaluation performed by the company, it was proposed a methodology to evaluate it through the code coverage criterion, followed by an exploratory study to investigate possible reasons for the results obtained from the coverage. Finally, exploratory tests were conducted to confirm the findings from the exploratory study phase.
