Methodology: This is an exploratory, descriptive, evaluative study with a quantitative approach. Held between September and October, with the participation of 194 students from the Nursing, Physiotherapy, Nutrition and Psychology courses at the Faculty of Health Sciences of Trairi. The collection was performed by google forms through a questionnaire based on the American Heart Association protocol. Results: Based on the 194 students who answered the 8 specific questions, we had a total of 1,552 (100%) answers, 475 (30.6%) correct, 434 (27.9%) wrong and 643 (41.4) did not know how to answer. Conclusion: The findings showed a deficit in the knowledge of students in the health field about basic life support.
