The methodological procedure was based on a qualitative approach to the data, through a questionnaire containing ten open questions that investigated the motivations for joining the program, difficulties faced, teaching experiences and impacts on the construction of professional identity. The results indicated that PIBID was essential in the integration between theory and practice, promoting the development of pedagogical skills, greater security in the school environment and strengthening teaching identity. Furthermore, the program contributed significantly to the retention of graduates in the course, both through practical experience and financial support from scholarships. The experiences provided by PIBID expanded the perception of the relevance of Physical Education as an area of ​​knowledge and pedagogical practice, highlighting its role in the comprehensive training of students.
