Orientador: Prof. Dr. Carlos Francisco do Nascimento.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/53191The present work has the general objective of carrying out legal reflections on the special working hours of bank employees and their relationship with mental health, highlighting the historical context of labor law and the principle of human dignity, in the light of Brazilian legislation, to understand the impact of working hours on mental health issues of workers in this category. In order to fulfill the proposed purpose, a bibliographical and legislative review on the subject was carried out in this study, with a deductive and descriptive approach. The searched databases were Scielo and Google Scholar, with a year limit and no restriction on the type of publication, using the following keywords: “Banking”; ‘Journey to Work’ and ‘Mental Health’. The results showed that the legislator took into account factors such as: the handling of a large amount of values, the complexity and risks of financial operations, the risk of robbery, the repetitive effort of work, the pressure to achieve goals, among others, which bring illness to workers in this category, aiming to differentiate them from workers in other spheres, thus establishing a differentiated journey, thus characterizing a differentiated protection for this category. Illness was related, in most of the analyzed studies, to job instability, excessive tasks, performance demands, constant qualification requirements, stimulation of competitiveness, pressure and greater control of workers, reduction of representation spaces, little recognition, pressures for productivity, authoritarian bosses, exaggerated demands for targets and among other factors of contemporary work organization.Attribution-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/3.0/br/Bancário.Direito.Jornada de Trabalho.Saúde Mental.Bank Officer.Right.Working Day.Mental Health.bachelorThesis
