From the tribological point of view, lubricity of Biodiesel and the lifetime of the fuel are correlated. Five major European manufacturers of equipments of the injection Diesel and Biodiesel issue public statement in 2009, where they warn to application of the ASTM D 975-09, which tolerates wear scar diameter – WSD < 520 µm (by standard EN 590, WSD < 460 µm) and, also for the lifetimes equipments in service – affected by consumption of non-esterified vegetable oils. This work aims to determine and evaluate the lubricity of the four oils B5, pure fuel diesel, ricin and coconut vegetable oils by High Frequency Reciprocating Test Rig, HFRR. The results showed high performance lubricity for the B5, which obtained 40 % less than conventional diesel and, 30 % and 15 % higher compared to ricin and coconut vegetable oils, respectivelyAttribution-NonCommercial 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/3.0/br/PetróleoRiscos ambientaisPerfuraçãoSondaMapa de riscosOs combustíveis verdes do Brasil - Avaliação da lubricidade do biodíesel B5 e óleos de mamona e cocoGreen fuels of brazil - evaluation of lubricity of b5 biodiesel and ricin and coconut oilsarticle10.15628/holos.2011.453
