In it, will be exposed to experiences lived, both as private music teacher, instrument and harmony, as a practical musician and also as a student in this school and university perspective. Thus, I analyzed how these experiences have allowed me to think the teaching practice outside of regular education classroom as a place that provides many different ways to learn. Importantly, the teaching-learning does not dissociate of life and it brings all the implications of interpersonal relations: differences in interests, cultural and economic conflicts, among other issues to be pointed out. With that point in view, used as theoretical and my practical reasons, the postulates of the educator Paulo Freire (1996), thinking about music education not as a mechanistic practice moving content, which form students without a critical ability to reflect on the learned and unable to exercise what is most essential in the music, which is the artistic development of creativity. Thus, the teaching here is seen as a way to develop autonomous beings and capable of flowing knowledge along with musicality, a dialogue in this regard with the above by jazz saxophonist and music educator Jamey Aebersold (1992) when he presents his vision of musical improvisation.
