Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Pedagogia) - Centro de Educação, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2023.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/56879The article arose from a mandatory supervised internship experience at the School of Application of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), in the 1st grade class of Early Years, and aims to reflect on algebraic thinking throught working with sequences and patterns of geometric figures present in poems and illustration produced by a 1st grade class, in 2022, of Elementary School at NEI-CAp/UFRN. The methodology used to raise discussion and bring reflections on the topics is bibliographic and documentary research, using official documents and the book “Between mummy and pharaós, poems e problem: discoveries of the 1st grade of the morning” (Souza; Gomes, 2022).
