Cognição, emoção e linguagem: um estudo bibliográfico à luz da Linguística Cognitiva. Orientadora: Patrícia Ferreira Botelho. 2025. 50 f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Letras - Língua Portuguesa) - Departamento de Letras, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2025.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/64862This work consists of a review study on the concepts of cognition and emotion, based on the theoretical framework of Cognitive Linguistics and interdisciplinary fields (Psychology, Neuroscience, Biology, among others). The research, qualitative and bibliographic in nature, aims to survey the most recent literature on the concepts of cognition and emotion in order to provide updated theoretical references for studies in cognition, emotion, and language. For the purposes of this study, the corpus comprises scientific articles available on the Scielo Brasil platform and the CAPES journal portal, covering the period from 2013 to 2023. Based on the descriptors used in both databases, twelve articles were selected, six related to the concept of cognition and six to the concept of emotion, considering their theoretical alignment with Cognitive Linguistics. In this sense, regarding the concept of cognition, the study observes an update of the 1980s notion of embodied cognition, referenced by Lakoff and Johnson (1980), through the lens of ecological cognition, as evidenced by the contributions of Duque (2015, 2016, 2017). As for the concept of emotion, it was noted that most of the selected articles refer to the concept of cognition, especially Vanin (2015), Kiverstein and Müller (2021), and Maiese (2014), for whom emotions are understood in an embodied way. The contributions of Furtak (2018), Du Toit (2014), and Frijda (2016) partially align with the aforementioned works on emotion, adding a narrative, intentional, and action-oriented dimension to emotional processes, respectively. Finally, the study highlights that, by drawing connections between cognition, emotion, and language, it adopts an understanding of cognitive and emotional processes as intrinsically related, in such a way that what applies to cognition also applies to emotion.pt-BRAttribution 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/br/levantamento bibliográficocogniçãoemoçãolinguagemLinguística CognitivaCognição, emoção e linguagem: um estudo bibliográfico à luz da Linguística CognitivabachelorThesis
