We examined his performance in two different moments - on Antologia do Frevo (Disco), recorded with Orquestra do Maestro José Menezes, in the 1970s, and Passo de Anjo (CD), recorded with Spokfrevo Orquestra, between 2004 and 2006. Since this is a fieldwork, the methodology consisted of i) interviews with Adelson Silva. In addition to interviews and / or informal conversations previously scheduled with the conductors Spok, Edson Rodrigues, Ademir Araújo (Formiga), Guedes Peixoto, drummers Wellington Jamaica (from Orquestra Popular da Bomba do Hemetério) and Augusto Silva (from Spokfrevo Orquestra), ii) visits to Joaquim Nabuco Foundation (FUNDAJ) and Paço do Frevo, iii) transcription and musical analysis of both CDs.
