A case study was therefore carried out to plan the acquisition and installation of the new CT scanner, applying the specific needs and objectives outlined by the institution in order to update the hospital's technological park, thereby employing new technologies on the market as a way of benefiting the equipment's operating team and patients. The management of hospital medical equipment carried out by the clinical engineering sector was explored, analyzing the information registered and researched that is necessary for the acquisition of the device and the standards and resolutions to be applied at each stage of the process.
