Avaliação do consumo alimentar enegético, macronutrientes e fibras em bailarinas. 2018. 44 f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Nutrição) - Departamento de Nutrição, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal - RN, 2018.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/40203Food consumption of ballet dancers is determinant for body composition and physical aptitude, collaborating to obtain better technics. Craving for the ideal body for ballet practice, many ballet dancers impose themselves dietary restrictions. These dietary choices may result in inadequate energetic intake and low macronutrient intake, putting them at nutritional risk. The aim of this study was evaluate energy intake and dietaries recommendations of macronutrients and fiber in ballet dancers. Three 24-hour food records were performed for each of the volunteers, one of them were performed in person and the others were performed by phone, studied on non-consecutive or coincident days, which were analyzed using centesimal composition tables. The recommendations of energy and macronutrients were determined according to the DRI (2002), the difference between consumption and recommendation of energy was calculated. To evaluate the nutritional adequacy of energy, the energy balance was calculated and for macronutrients and fiber adequacy, the percentage of dancers who reached consumption was calculated. Estimates of intra and interpersonal variances were based on quadratic means. Mean energy consumption was 2007 kcal, 518 kcal lower than the mean recommendation of 2579 kcal. In terms of mean macronutrients intake, 71,4% of ballet dancers reached protein recommendations, only 37,5% of them reached carbohydrates recommendations and none of them reached fibers recommendation. Thus, it can be said that dancers are at risk of energy deficiency, possibly due to low carbohydrate consumption and, consequently, this population may be susceptible to the numerous health and performance problems associated with energy imbalance. In this way, dietary consumption research and the awareness of ballet practitioners regarding healthy eating practices are important tools that the nutritionist has to deal with this audience.openAccessIngestão energética; consumo alimentar; recomendações nutricionais; dança.Energy intake; Dietary intake; Dietary recommendations; dance.Avaliação do consumo alimentar enegético, macronutrientes e fibras em bailarinasbachelorThesis
