The present work aims to improve the functioning and compliance with the standards of a freight elevator of frequent use in a production line of a bakery industry, based on the design parameters of lifting and transport machines present in the NBR 14712, NBR 8400 and available literature. Initially, the main problems present in the structure were listed, and then the solution that would best apply in the short term was sought, in order to generate less damage to the production line, and then the best long-term solution to prolong the elevator life.
